Working Supervisor – Social Housing\nLocation: Cambridge & Surrounding Areas\nPay Rate: £22.00 – £25.00 per hour \nBenefits: Company Van & Fuel Card Supplied\n\nFortus recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Working Supervisor on a temp to perm basis paying £22 to £25 per hour to join a well-established social housing contractor covering Cambridge and surrounding areas. The role will focus primarily on disrepair, damp and mould projects within occupied and void residential properties.\n\nThis is a hands-on supervisory position, ideal for someone with strong trade knowledge who can lead by example while ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nSupervising operatives and subcontractors on disrepair and damp & mould works\nCarrying out hands-on duties where required\nManaging day-to-day site operations within social housing properties\nEnsuring works are completed within agreed timescales and company standards\nConducting site inspections and quality checks\nLiaising with tenants, clients, and management teams professionally\nOrdering materials and managing site resources effectively\nEnsuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times\nReporting progress updates and resolving on-site issues\nRequirements:\n\nPrevious experience working within social housing maintenance or refurbishment\nStrong background in disrepair and damp & mould works\nExperience supervising teams and managing workloads\nGood all-round trade knowledge (multi-trade background preferred)\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple jobs\nStrong communication and organisational skills\nFull UK driving licence essential\nWhat We Offer:\n\nCompetitive hourly rate of £22.00 – £25.00 per hour\nCompany van and fuel card provided\nOngoing, long-term work\nSupportive management team\nOpportunities for progression within a growing contractor\nIf you are an experienced Working Supervisor looking for a long-term opportunity within the social housing sector, we would like to hear from you and contact George Stacey at Fortus Recruitment
