Quantity Surveyor - Manchester\n\nOur client is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their North West team, delivering high-spec commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects across the region.\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute QS who enjoys being heavily involved across the full project lifecycle - not just cost management. The business is looking for a strong all-rounder with the ability to work at pace within a fast-moving Tier 1 fit-out environment.\n\nSalary & Package:\n\n£70,000 - £85,000 DOE\nCar allowance\nBonus\nPrivate healthcare\nPension\nExcellent long-term progression opportunitiesThe successful candidate will be involved in:\n\nPricing and tendering projects\nCost planning and budgeting\nManaging client contracts and subcontract packages\nNegotiating subcontractor packages and monthly valuations\nManaging variations and applications for payment\nChallenging design against budget constraints\nIdentifying commercial risk and finding practical solutions\nProtecting and maximising project margins throughout deliveryThe ideal candidate will have:\n\nCommercial fit-out or refurbishment experience\nStrong contract knowledge, including JCT\nExcellent negotiation and commercial skills\nAbility to manage multiple projects within fast-paced environments\nStrong attention to detail and commercial instinct\nExperience working closely with both operational and pre-construction teams \n\nThis role would suit someone from either a Tier 1 background or a smaller contractor where they've gained wider commercial exposure across projects
