Maintenance Supervisor – Hayes Asphalt Plant, London\n\nAre you an experiencedMaintenance Supervisor seeking your next opportunity?\n\nWe are currently recruiting for a skilled and motivated individual to join our team at our Hayes Asphalt Plant in London.\n\nThe Role\n\nReporting to the Operations Manager and Senior Operations Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role within the maintenance team.You will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), fault finding, and reactive maintenance across all areas of the asphalt plant, including rail discharge systems.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nYour day-to-day duties will include, but are not limited to:\n\nEnsuring full compliance with all relevant statutory legislation and company Safety, Health and Environmental standards\nConducting plant safety and maintenance inspections, and developing safe systems of work (including method statements, risk assessments, and dynamic risk assessments)\nPerforming electrical fault finding, maintenance, and repair work to support operational performance targets\nRecording maintenance activities and work requests within Tarmac’s maintenance system\nAssisting with the commissioning of new plant and equipment\nParticipating in regional and local maintenance meetings to support continuous improvement\nLiaising with site management to coordinate required repairs and maintenance activities\n\nCandidate Requirements\n\nIdeally, you will have:\n\nAn HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent qualification)\nA proactive and positive approach to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, with the confidence to challenge unsafe practices\n18th Edition\nStrong technical knowledge of electrical systems, ideally within a heavy industrial environment\nExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal\nExperience within an asphalt or similar industry would be advantageous, but is not essential\n\nAdditional Information\n\nPlease note that this role supports plant operations running 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.As such, flexibility is required, including participation in an on-call rota, as well as occasional night, weekend, and bank holiday working.\n\nYou may also be required to work across multiple asphalt plants within the region.
