\nHours of Work & Pay & Benefits
\nFull time - Permanent
\n5 day working week - Monday to Friday 37 hours per week.
\n£20.24 to £23.00 plus shift allowance of £7.65 for experienced machinists with proven background.
\nFlexibility on start and finish times.
\nWork pattern of two weeks days / nights on rotation.
\nOvertime available paid at time and a half, then double time over 48 hours
\nUp to 12 weeks company sick pay.
\nKey responsibilities
\nSetting up and operating CNC machines: Prepare the machine for the specific task, program the machine, and oversee the operation.
\nMonitoring and adjusting machine settings: Ensure that the machine is working at optimal efficiency and quality. This may involve adjusting speed, feed, coolant flow, and other settings.
\nInspecting finished products for accuracy and quality: Check the finished product to ensure it meets the required specifications and quality standards.
\nTroubleshooting and resolving issues with CNC machines: Identify and fix any problems with the machine, such as mechanical issues or programming errors.
\nCollaborating with engineers to optimize manufacturing processes: Work closely with engineers to improve the manufacturing process, which can include optimizing machine settings, improve tooling, and implement new machining strategies.
\nSupporting the company on its continuous improvement journey.
\nEnsuring the Safety of self and others: Following company procedures and best practice

\nWhat you need for the role.
\nPrevious experience and skills in a CNC milling role.
\nKnowledge of CNC machinery, tooling, and precision measurement tools.
\nExperience with Maztrol / Siemens controls is Essential.
\nAbility to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
\nMechanical aptitude and strong math skills.
\nKeen eye for detail and a results-driven approach.
\nAbility to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for prolonged periods.
